Jazz Bands wishing to show their information should use our contact page for further details. Any Band playing in a Jazz Festival can send the details of the Jazz Festival along with the venue and dates and it will be posted on this web site.
Jazz Holidays
West Country Tour Operator, Wessex Continental Travel, has been running Jazz Tours for the past 15 years making use of selected hotels from their main holiday programme. The format is the same for all jazz tours - we stay at a nice hotel, ensure that good food and wine is provided, lay on interesting local excursions during the day and in the evening the Band plays for your entertainment after dinner. Travel is by executive coach and on the sea crossings (with the exception of Dover-Calais) the Band play for everyone’s enjoyment at some time during the sailing. We never forget that this is a holiday so you can really look upon these tours as holidays with jazz.
The Bands who travel with us bring their own supporters who comprise the bulk of the party but there’s a warm welcome for anyone who doesn't normally get to listening to them. The one thing you can rely on is that all the folks who travel are of the same temperament and have the same outlook which tends to lead to a very friendly atmosphere from start to finish. If you want to go on holiday with like- minded people, you couldn't’t make a better choice!
Jazz fans live all over the country and the one thing we can’t arrange is to have country-wide pick ups so we have to rely on ‘out of region’ clients joining us at the port of departure. Access to Plymouth Docks, where most tours depart, is very easy with the motorway system feeding you directly into the Docks where the coach will await you. Parking is simple and no previous booking is necessary.
We are ready at any time to discuss with any Band in any part of the country a jazz tour for them and their
